Additionally when you make a donation or attempt to make a donation through the Site, we collect certain information including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Donation Information.”
If you make a donation eligible for a tax receipt your name, billing address, email address, and phone number will be shared with the appropriate nonprofit partner.
Donation information is collected through the Site and administered and stored by our payment processor Stripe. Learn more about Stripe’s security here. GiveMagic Co. does not store credit card information.
HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We use the usage and sign-up information that we collect generally to improve the experience community members have on the Site to generate more donations for the nonprofit partner. We will also use this information to update community member profiles. This type of data processing allows the GiveMagic Co. to evaluate User choices, preferences and behaviour for the purposes outlined in the respective section of this document. Additionally, we use this Information to: Communicate with users; screen donations for potential risk or fraud; and when appropriate, provide users with information relating to the nonprofit partner. We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our own or nonprofit partners marketing and advertising campaigns). SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION You are eligible to receive a tax receipt for your donation and we will share your billing information (including email) with the nonprofit partner to allow for receipting. The nonprofit partner will also receive your sign-in and usage information. We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your information to improve site experience and performance, as described above. For example, we use Google Analytics to help us understand how community members use the Site--you can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en. You can also opt-out of Google Analytics here. We use Segment.com for additional data reporting. Finally, we may share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.
When you use or donate the Site, we will maintain your Usage and Donation Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline. Wherever we collect sensitive information, that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the Web page. While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
